Got a package from Russia today, and here's a few using it with the Pentax
*istD:

This was at Bennett's Nursery, a rather sprawling but interesting place.

Wow Bill, the second one is fantastic, and the pepper chilis too !! Great compositions!
Great sharpness from Zenitar and impressive colour from Pentax... what a combination!

Thanks, guys! There is no color correction, this is the same from RAW. I
really like the Pentax, is a joy to use.

The 4th with is my favorite. Such nice use of line.

TF and Ron, thanks for your comments!

Mike those two look very good, and I'm not seeing a lot/any distortion with
these. Was this with the D3? Nevermind, just checked, D3. Hummmm.

The distortion really shows with vertical structures, like buildings and trees at the edges. Landscapes are pretty straight forward, get the horizon level in the viewfinder and click.

True, I guess I was expecting more distortion to the wheels of the cannon,
something reminiscent of a Salvador Dali painting. Wink The cannon barrels
are of tarnished brass to explain the color, or painted this way?

They have 2 sets of cannons.
One set (I think they are Union cannons) are painted black.

The other (probably Confederate) are brass with a beautiful patina.
