Here is a sample from the weekend's model photography shoots. Uzhgorod, Ukraine. Yulya is only 15yr but was born to model.. Even though she spoke Russian and I speak English we did OK! Smile Already planning the next trip! Smile

Yulya, tonight. Ukraine by MatthewOsbornePhotography_, on Flickr

You can see more model photography examples from Ukraine using the Nikon D800 & medium format ARAX (Kiev 88 ) on my blog soon. I'll share a selection using all manual focus lenses, Samyang 85mm, Lensbaby Edge 80, Nikkor 50mm f1.2 AIS and a Rollei Planar 50mm f1.8 (all I could fit in my hand luggage!)

Excellent image, the composition and pose is really good, the model is reflecting the shadow, the image flows. Cool

I think you've missed the memo: 15 year old girls are not children. Juliet was 13...

Btw, do all Australian 5 year olds look like that?

Hi Mathew
Beautiful shot as is the colour version, nice job on your blog also, some really beautiful photos you've taken.

"shudder" "beauty" pageants. Who invented those things? Shame Shame Shame.

Juliet was 13 indeed, what was life expectancy then tho? 40? 50?

Hi, thanks all for the nice feedback. Smile

In regards to the age comments, I merely mentioned her name as a fact such as the city name. Yulya arrived with her Mum who was very pleased with the resulting images. I think my 'looking forward to the next trip' comment didn't translate as I had hoped. I worked with approx 10x 20yr+ models over 2 weekends together with Yulya who was younger. I love everything Ukraine has to offer. It is like stepping back in time 20-30 years. A magical place for me and I want to capture as much of it as possible 'as is' before it looks similar to Western Europe.

I'll try to post more photos soon from the trip.
