Well . . . just stop for a minute and think about it. It's Nikon fit, you have a Sony Nex, so maybe you need an adapter to let you use a Nikon lens on a Sony Nex? Try the most famous internet auction site for suppliers. _________________ Stephen

If you have other lenses that are not Nikon mount then maybe think about getting the adapter to go from Sony E mount to whatever you want.
There are adapters from Sony E mount to just about every type and brand of lens available, that's the beauty of a NEX.
I say that because the Tamron lens is one of their 'Adaptall' series, which means that the lens itself has an adapter that can be changed to fit the lens to many different cameras, so if you have some Canon or Olympus lenses you could change the Tamron adapter to Canon, Olympus from Nikon. But you still need Sony E to whatever you choose. Whatever way you do it, there will be 1 adapter on the camera and another adapter on the lens.
And that is a superb lens, it works perfectly on a NEX and is well worth getting the adapters. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

I assume that by "converter" you refer to the teleconverter, no? If so, then no. The barrel of the lens simply shows that you could achieve 1:1 magnification with a 2X teleconverter. But there is no telecoverter attached to the lens. |

It's 1:2 without the converter but the converter is basically just an extention tube. _________________ Sony: A7 | Samyang FE 35/2.8 | Sony FE 85/1.8

I don't think you have the 'X2 Teleconverter' - you don't really need it, the lens works without it. It's just used to gain greater magnification.
The Tamron 'Adaptall adapter' is removable and available in most camera mounts, here's a link to Youtube for how to remove and fit the adapter.

The NEX adapters are all over ebay, just google "Nikon NEX"

Great breakdown Lloydy, it'll get quoted many times

That's not necessarily true. If you search for "Adaptall NEX" you'll find plenty of direct adapters from Adaptall lens to E-mount camera. This way you avoid stacking them. I bought mine from a Hong Kong seller named "Roxsen" and it works well, as I'm sure most of them do. _________________ [C&C] on my pictures are most welcomed. |

There is a dedicated 1:1 extension tube for this lens! http://www.adaptall-2.org/lenses/52B.html
The 2X TC also works to achieve 1:1, but looses more light than tube! _________________ ☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮ like attracts like! ☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮

actually no. there is matching tube for tamron 90mm/2.5 macro, and there is flat field macro converter that has glass in it (the one in Lloydy's photo) . 2 different ways of getting 1:1 (or more if you combine them) _________________ my tools:Oly E-M5 + 45mm/1.8 + Oly E-520 + 12-60 + 14-42 + 70-300 + Sigma 105mm + FL-50R + EC20 + SRF-11 ring flash

I haven't seen these before, and the first Google took me to Amazon who seem to be selling Fotodiox adapters at huge discounts. I had the new Sony Tough E Mount a few weeks ago at about 1/2 price.
