Were these taken at the Deutsches Technikmuseum? I visited there last summer and we spent a lot of time in the old train yard.

exactly... this train yard is just great and the best part of this museum in my opinion, a good mix between restaurated and rusty, dusty and greasy trains. Smile

Resurrecting this old thread.
I have been going through my nifty fifties to decide what to keep and what to cull.
Today I "tested" - a very basic test at max aperture, then f4 and f8 - several f2 and f1.8 lenses.
Here are the shots for the Mamiya 1.8/55 and Rollei Planar 1.8/50
These two lenses are going nowhere but there are many others that will move on.
My own observations were that these two lenses were similar but far ahead of the others that I tried. I think that the Mamiya is perhaps just a little better than the Rollei that I have.
