Oh, you can do better than that, much better, with Photoshop. And if you use CornerFix, it will get even better.
But the thing is that I prefer to use a lens that does not need those corrections! |
Is it just me who prefers to see photographs that have been exposed correctly in the first place without resorting to Photoshop/Lightroom/Capture1 etc to make up for the shortcomings? |
No, as I said, it's not only you. I think the same. |
If you are using rotapan-analogue-panoramic-cameras all vignetting are gone....forever. _________________ mpa |

I bought my A7 two weeks ago. In the same time I got a Zorki with a Jupiter 8 from 1959. I had to clean , relub and slightly modify it.
It works ! I am happy!
Two pictures made with focus peaking on the tilted screen . I like this A7.

Had a 1hr free time to wander around while waiting for a friend.
The Pentax M85/2 may not the fastest nor technically correct lens, but I like it a lot for the really compact size, contrast and rendering |

One more with Minolta Rokkor-PF 55/1.7. I really like how it performs on FF camera especially wide open. I've complete some simple sharpness/resolution tests with Contax Planar 50/1.4 and as I can see Rokkor rocks wide open and performs almost equally to Planar @4-@5.6.
