Omar, what is the 28/2.0 Distagon version do you have? Is it Contax or Z? Just wondering how much differs Contax hollywood from modern Distagon 28/2.0 Zx.

Soligor 17/4
I never used this lens much on aps-c since the kit lens was far lighter.
But it makes a lot of sense now to use it on FF.

Soligor 17/4 again

I'm getting very surprised with this lens.
It seems to perform far beyond my expectation of it (thought it was a wrong buy on aps-c)
It seems to look sharp enough that I don't have much to grumble over, though the real judgement would be to compare with a more 'reputable' UWA lens on the same camera.

Soligors keep suprising me all the time...

Oh, you can do better than that, much better, with Photoshop. And if you use CornerFix, it will get even better.
But the thing is that I prefer to use a lens that does not need those corrections!

Is it just me who prefers to see photographs that have been exposed correctly in the first place without resorting to Photoshop/Lightroom/Capture1 etc to make up for the shortcomings?

No, as I said, it's not only you. I think the same.

If you are using rotapan-analogue-panoramic-cameras all vignetting are gone....forever.

Some shots from the India Thaipusam festival in Singapore.
I used the Pentax K50/1.2 the most since it was an even running thru the night

A7 + SMC pentax-M 150/3.5

I bought my A7 two weeks ago. In the same time I got a Zorki with a Jupiter 8 from 1959. I had to clean , relub and slightly modify it.
It works ! I am happy!

Two pictures made with focus peaking on the tilted screen . I like this A7.

If you have light, sports photography is no problem with the A7s

Nice action shots!

I wonder if A7r will fare worse with no EFC.

With Minolta 35-105, most @105
Most of them are heavy crops (up to 100%) and nearly all are slightly misfocused

Nikon 180/2.8 ED again. I do really like this lens a lot Smile
All focused using yellow focus peaking. Works fantastically Smile

Had a 1hr free time to wander around while waiting for a friend.

The Pentax M85/2 may not the fastest nor technically correct lens, but I like it a lot for the really compact size, contrast and rendering

Wow...
Did not buy a single Nikon lens Surprised, but when it will take place surely THIS ONE will be my first choice!

Yes, the Nikon 180/2.8 ED is one of my favourite lenses since I have a FF-sensor, only topped by Zeiss Sonnar 55/1.8 in usage Smile

The younger AF version works very well with MF btw.
