Some recently discovered work that I was perhaps too critical of when I first shot them. Shot on a Canon 60D, hand-held.

Truly sublime images Mark! Very few photographers are capable of macro work this consistently fine.

No.3 is my favorite.

Wow, excellent!

I was just thinking of trying some macro work myself.
Are these handheld or do you need to use a tripod?

These are all hand-held. YMMV!

Very nice. Bee shots are very hard - good captures.

That is impressive to me because you are shooting from above and with macro the focusing
is so sensitive. How do you hold so still?

I will keep working on macro, perhaps someday my best images will reach the level of Kram's reject bin. Laughing

It is a continual challenge. I shoot 99.9% at ISO 100. The way you hold the camera is important. Shooting at highest shutter speed available helps too. But where I live, it's rather dark in winter and becomes a sport unto itself! This is when camera holding technique is important.
