at an unexplored planet Lichenia, circling around the star Kryptogamia...

The planet is rather like the planet Terra, with frozen polar areas, dry tropics, and hot and wet equatorial region.

The trip was short and only few pictures came out nice enough to share with the public. So here they are, from the coldest to the hottest...

1) Glaciers covering the fjords along the northern coast, reaching out in to the cold polar sea covered with ice...

2) There are mountain ranges to the south, both unexplored and impassable...

3) And even more mountains, standing lonely among dry and deserted land...

4) And the sand dunes, taking over the driest deserts...

5) With the tropical swampland at the equator, full of ponds, greenery and hidden life...

*****

P.S. The spacecraft was powered with the mixture of the best Trappistes Rochefort, Westmalle and La Chouffe, but later on the fuel tank had to be topped up with Fuller's London Pride and the ship eventually lost the control and ...

P.P.S. All pictures were taken with El-Nikkor 80mm F/5.6 lens, and Sony Nex 5N-FS camera.

Fascinating, I think I know what #2 is, but the others...

Do these involve thin sections? The last one looks like a weathering pattern of certain volcanic rocks (under the microscope).
One of the others looks like stained thin sections of plant material..... go on, tell us. Great shots regardless.

As for fuel, Budvar tonight.

Would it be okay to ask for some information on the techniques you employed? Not wishing to 'steal' any secrets, just learn some useful tips to guide my own macro work. Smile

I am afraid it is not that simple as each shot was created using very different processing techniques in specialized software.
