Some images, most of them 2.5 I think no text is needed Smile.

I think a lot of cult lenses are overrated, but that doesn't apply for this lens. I used to have one and it is every bit as good as they say.

Wow.....I like those pictures a lot. That's obviously a great lens, and in good hands. It's going on my wanted list! Cool

Glad to see someone else loving this wonderful lens.

I was watching a long time till I get one for normal price Smile. Now I don't think I'm selling it. And yes - great lens, really good optics!

Аnd here one tilt bokina shot with my NEX, it is cropped but still good in resolution.

Top class shots from all posters!

Can one of you post a picture of the lens itself?

Here with a FD-Fuji X adapter and Fuji rear cap.

Sideview, with the lens focused on infinity:

Frontview:

It is by far my favorite lens, bar none. Build quality is as high as it can get, and optical performance puts most other lenses to shame. The combination of extreme sharpness and smooth bokeh is a recipe for success...

My humble contribution, shot at f/4 on a Fuji X-E1

Thank you!

I am absolutely loving the images. Good tool in the hands of capable craftsmen!

I would agree that the build quality is second to none. I've certainly never owned or used a lens that felt more solid and well-constructed. The sharpness is astounding and the "feel" of the lens when you're focusing is so precise that it's not too hard to nail the perfect shot. If you want your background to be buttery-creamy and just melt away, this is the lens for you.

Random shot from mine:

I found that mine is a little prone to flare so I bought a cheap hood for it, it now looks enormous when the hood and extender are attached.
As we're getting our Bokinas out....

I'll echo what others have said, it's build is superb. If it wasn't for the styling I'd think it was made by Nikon.

Alas, the Achilles' heel of the Bokina; the dreaded stray light. A hood is more or less a must, unless you have the sun behind you.
An other "drawback" of the Bokina is that it exposes missed focus or too narrow depth of field (click for full-res):

The wings are in focus whereas the head is not. I should have stopped down a bit, this was wide open...

At the same time, f/2.5 allows for great portraits!

оne portrait Smile great lens for the job!

оne more with bokina Smile I think it is more portrait lens than macro Very Happy

Fantastic, but big and friggin heavy. Once I realised this was equally sharp for landscape work, it stayed home just for macro.

I like that, simbon4o. I like the pictures too.
