I had this lens earlier, but I sold it, and regretted. But I found another copy, home-converted to AI (neatly), the paint is chipped, but the glass is fine.

Some samples with D700 body. Some curves and sharpening applied.

#1, at f/2 (you have to be careful to set the aperture to f/1.8 )

#2, at f/2

100 % crop

#3, at f/1.8

#4, at f/1.8

#5, at f/1.8

#6, at f/1.8

Thanks for your comments! Yes, I like this lens, but still... the bokeh could be smoother... drooling for a 85/1.4 lens. Cool

You can always remind yourself that the lens you regret selling is in a good home Razz

Glad to see you found a copy of yours, this is a Nikkor gem indeed

If you are looking for this quality at a much lower price the nikkor 85/2 is a very fine lens

I know exactly why you regretted selling it! I'm thinking about selling mine from time to time and then after I put it on my cam, I know why I shouldn't! Laughing

Very nice samples! I really like the white rose (pictures Nr. 4).

Superb. Love the curves. The shots in the first post are great too.
