For Mark, here are some pictures taken with the mirror lens Tamron SP 500mm F8 mounted on a Canon EOS 40D.
So, with APS-C conversion to FF, that makes 800mm.
All shots handheld.

Good results, mirror lenses are quite difficult to handle...

"La becasse" is my favorite beer Very Happy ..
Good results but definitively not a "proxi/macro" lens on my opinion except of course if you are looking for special effect/rendering Confused .....

Good taste ! Very Happy
I shot this photo from upside and, so, it is not parallel to the subject. The upper side (words "La Bécasse") is in focus, not the center and the bottom.

Olivier, thanks again!

Looks pretty good, I like the donuts!

When I spent two weeks in Belgium I became addicted to Kriek!

I learned how to order two Krieks in Flemish: "Twee Kriek!"

I came there from Italy and I learned that if you order "due cuppucci", you are asking for two condoms!
Embarassed

Nice samples, I never tried a mirror lens for that purpose.
