OK, admittedly it is low resolution, but wanted to show it anyway, as the conical plant cells get visible that allow insects a better grip...



[this is reflected UV light, not normal visual light as it would be all yellow then]

Very interesting.

I've been wondering, when doing UV work how do you decide what to shoot? i.e. your subjects are mostly details invisible to the naked eye.

I imagine you wandering a field of flowers with the UV camera up to your face, an explorer seeking vistas that no-one has seen before...

Most of the flowers having UV patterns are known, but still surprises wait around the corner, so you never know what you'll be getting...
