Here a bit post-produced version showing the amount of detail that can be obtained wide-open. Click on photo to see it without re-compression and scaling.

I like it. Looks quite dramatic. Nice 3d detail.

Excellent lens and a very nice treatment in the last shot.

Thank you guys. Sure it was pouring rain, later came the floods.

Rainy weather again. One could give the edge to Sonnar regarding sharpness. I picked four best shots from each. WB fixed so coating differences can be observed. All wide-open. Don't forget to click on photo to view it full size.

JUPITER-6-2 2.8/180mm

Sonnar 2.8/200mm

Wonderful shots, and a good comparison... the 2 lenses, however, do have a bit of a different colour cast, with the Jupiter producing a bit of a brighter shot.

What camera was used? Was it a manual exposure or automatic? Just wondering why in the first three sets of comparisons the Jupiter seems to have slightly overexposed. Both lenses give great results though.

5DmkII. I don't remember about exposure. True both are great and it's really hard to decide which to choose.
