I like first one but you should've tryed to get that building from the left straight, because it looks slant to me.
Or maybe is its natural state?
Vezi ca ai o functie " Skew" in PS care face asta.

In the first picture I did't see the efect. It must be the 35mm wide-angle lens (see picture below).

it's not the 35mm lens per se. It's that your camera's longitudinal axis was not parallel with the ground. The more angle difference, the more the buildings will look slanted.
Of course, the wider lens you use, the most accentuated the effect.
But the effect does not depend on the lens' focal lenght per se.
