This is a bigger tank than its stainless steel counterpart, takes more
developer, too. Dev'd this roll tonight using the Barry's 2-Bath, Kodak
TriX 400 film:

Shot with Ricoh FF-90 35mm point and shoot. Some shots were from the
middle of summer, took this long to finish the roll. Rolling Eyes This is my first
try with this film. The Arista Premium 400 is supposed to be similar to
this and have a roll loaded in my Nikon F4s, although I think I'm going
to be doing more medium format for home developing.

Wow, superb results!.
It seems the developing process has no secrets for you Wink
Good contrast and gray levels.
Also the Ricoh' lens is proving sharp!.
I haven't finished the roll in my FF-3AF yet. After seeing your shots, I'm hopeful about the performance of these little gems.

Regards.

Jes.

Wow Bill, you've cracked it! There couldn't be anything better than your your pics to get me to try Barry's. It's certainly worth using this tank and reel for MF if you can avoid those blotches from the apron, but I'm waiting to hear how you get on with loading 120 film. It tested my patience, that's for sure! Smile

Jes and Peter, thanks for your comments. This 2-bath developer is
somewhat forgiving as the temp had a fluctuation of 3-4 degrees. A
few more:

Today I find out how I did on three rolls of medium format color.

I'm happy to see all the issues are gone. Good job, Bill. Perfect negatives, just on the spot.

Cheers, Marty.

Marty, thanks, too kind. I'm happy with the dev/exposures in 1,2, and 4
in the first set, and #2 in the second. The lid to my Paterson tank leaks
a few drops each inversion as well. Too bad Freestyle doesn't sell just
the lid, the funnel is fine. Next devs will be 120 with the Paterson.

Thanks again. Smile

Good images. Very sharp with nice tones.

I want to go MF but I have enough issues with loading 35mm at the moment.

I see you like geese too. Laughing

Martin, you will never know how badly I wanted one of my T4's with the
UC Hexanon zoom that day. Oh well, with just the 35mm P&S, I didn't
want to get any closer or they might have flown away. Laughing

Thanks for your comments.
