Today, I received a lens, I just bought to prove the information, I already had before:
The 4 or 5 digit# lenses from Zeiss and Pentacon do not have individual serial numbers, but batch numbers.
For example my Pancolar 2733 will have sisters sharing the same number.
Now I found Pentacon with the same number, like the one, I already had. Surprisingly this are two different versions of the 135mm lens, sharing the same batch number. And I'm pretty sure, I saw this number before frequently!

I notice one says Auto and the other doesn't - maybe it's possible to get the same batch number for different lenses just by coincidence...?
