Shiladitya took half a day off from work (!!!) to accompany me to the great sufi-shrine at Nizamuddin Delhi. I mostly took pictures with the Elmarit 90mm, he had a Nikkor 105mm, and at one time we swapped lenses. The Nikkor is more difficult to focus than the Elmarit, which has a longer throw, and where - as Shiladitya remarked - the motive really pops into focus. But the 105mm Nikkor certainly deserves its fame, as one can see.

1) An elderly muslim offering fruit at the shrine @ f 2.8 ISO 800
Quite 3D to my eyes

2) A lonely light-bulb hanging in front of a staircase (same as above)
I like the pastel colours

Thanks for your comments.

If you go to my flickr address, you can see the picture even bigger with a black frame. I couldn't stop looking at it myself, marvelling how good the IQ of this lense is.
