Wow, really great shots. The first is outstanding ! The EF 100-400mm is the right lens for airplane spotting.

Here one out of my archive taken very early in the morning. You can see the fog at the wingtips and at the turbines.

Guys, I have hundreds of air show photos. Here are a few from the San Antonio air show I attended last year. Gear was a Canon XS/1000D, EF 75-300 f/4-5.6, ISO 100.

F22 Raptor:





The light was awful that day. I was having to shoot into the sun, and it was difficult trying to get any sort of shot that wasn't a silhouette.

Can't decide if the effect is tacky or not or whether it should be in full colour or b/w. Or whether I need to make a 400+ mile round trip some time to retake it from both the train and the wall.
