I used the Nikon 80-200 4.5 AI and stacked 2 6 stop ND filters. And partially dismounted the lens so the aperture would stay stopped down, so it was safe to view. I was fortunate enough to get a plane going in front of the sun. The image is heavily cropped. We could not see the 2004 transit of Venus because it was dark on this side of the world. It won't happen again until 2117, so I'm glad I was able to get photos. No clouds that day

Very cool! Is that a passenger jet you got in that shot? Awesome!
I used a manual focus Tokina SD 400mm f/5.6 on the GH1 and got a bunch like so:
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Just a single ND 400 tho.
Here's a shot with clouds: http://tesselator.gpmod.com/Images/_Astronomy/Venus_Transit/_1070875.jpg
