Be careful, this lens blades function had a problem!

I had another Re auto topcor lens that had same problem, the blades almost close at F22.

When I open the lens, and found the min. aperture stopper had broken.

I think you are right. The blades should not be nearly completely closed even it is at F22. Surprised

Is that problem only when fully stopped down? Who uses f/22?

the problem maybe is,when you use this lens with a adapter to "another camera" , the aperture will out of control !!

this problem which I encountered. Sad

I've never had that problem on a Topcor.

Just to update, my 85 is off being cleaned.

I finally had a chance to shoot my 85, as I posted in another thread, it's my best 85mm lens.
All on the A7r, hand held, and wide open.

hmm, what shall I say: lacking contrast, blown colors, sorry but that's what I see (could be the camera though...).
The sunflower is "somewhat" OK Crying or Very sad

I like it. If you ever want to sell it cheap, I'm a buyer Smile

On my calibrated monitor they look fine to me, and none of the colors are clipped in Lightroom according to the histogram.
Edit:
I will add that these are just quick un-cropped test shots to show the wide open sharpness and bokeh, any artistic value is by coincidence.

Sharpness is there and it consistent with my indoor test result. Look forward to more photos from your side. I will post mine when I take some better photos.

Nice results, I like the purple flowers and the sunflower as well.

Did you find some time to take photos with yours? I'll joined the club but mine needs some TLC first...

At least someone here understands what irony means...

Irony over the internet without the appropriate emoticons just comes across as the opposite of what was intended.

My copy need to be re-lubed too as the focus ring is quite stiff. Before that, I will bring it for a short walk within few days as the weather is pretty good these days.

P.S. I find my Summicron-R 2/90 might be a better lens for portraits http://forum.mflenses.com/leica-summicron-r-90mm-f2-on-nex-5n-t68876.html .

Couldn't resist this serial number! 100 would have been great or 111, but 101 is fine too! Wink
