I wonder if he attached something like an without-optic-M42-Nikon F adapter to complete the adapter.

You are most likely right.

Boy, that's a nice job with the UV mount adapter.

I was interested to compare UV Topcon lenses with similar Nikon lenses. Use Topcon camera aperture ring and M42 camera cover I made a converter. Put it with the UV Topcon lens and M42 to NEX converter I was able to use this lens. The infinity worked OK.

The UV Topcon lenses are sharper. I use extension tube to take macro up to 4:1. All 53mm, 100mm and 135mm Topcon lenses are better than some other lenses.

When I bought the UV lenses for more testing I had some more camera bodies. So I took the aperture rings off the cameras, I made total 15 this converters. I am using three and started to sell them in Ebay. I listed last night and sold two in one day. There are some Topcon lovers there looking for the adapter!

I tried but failed to post images. Please help.

Also I received some messages since I posted the adapter in Ebay on 11/17. One guy said:
it sure solves problem and frees up some great glass. I was happy as a pig in slop when I found this.
