I've seen great examples of the Auto Chinon 135 / 2.8 and 35/2.8. But the 100/2.8 does not exist. Rolling Eyes

Attila is right /Most chinon lenses were good or very good (not excellent)

Chinon had 2 main suppliers

Tomioka : VG to excellent quality
Cima Kogaku (Cimko) : Average to Good Quality

You better try IF amount important (to avoid good low quality cimko lenses)

This quote is real? It may be more expensive than a Nikkor or Rokkor 1.2?
Or a Tomioka Chinon 135/2.8 to 350 .- Euros?

The 2,8/100 has fungus. Look at the picture of the lens.

Seller lives in Santa Fe. Some problems.

Be carefull.

Go Kevin, right up there with Arsenal. They've had several listed for months with that outrageous price.

I continue searching for all sides and have not found anything of information of this lens. There are no galleries in FLICKERS, nor sales in Ebay, not in wikipedia, google, etc. I am disconcerted, in addition, as good Rino says, the lens has fungi.

It's a 4 o 5 element lens, in the sonnar or ernostar type. Not much more. Similar rendering to the takumar of that time, sure. It can be a good lens like the rest of the chinon line. Well, if you want to know the price, the posted one must be low because the fungus in the rear element.

Be careful, the collector's mosquito can bite you !!! Wink

It must be a relatively rare lens, was hard to find its information in
the internet (ie, googling). Found one different bland model called

PRINZFLEX AUTO REFLEX 100mm F2.8 (distributed by Dickson Co? in England)

see this > http://www.yaotomi.co.jp/blog/used/2009/09/prinzflex-auto-reflex-100mm-f28-m42.html

There are some sample shots in the above.

I never thought TOMIOKA made tele-photo lens.... Very Happy

I have a very similar Hanimex 100/2.8 (to the first lens in this post). Will post some photos later.

That's DIXONS a camera chain that lasted from he 60's through to the early 2000... on most high streets very like RITZ does in USA...

(Prinz was their 'house brand' and they badged everything from Chinon through to Zenith 3M cameras as "Prinz' so much dross and the odd gem.)

It is possible that the HAnimex is equal to one Tomioka Chinon? The focus turns to the contrary. Embarassed

If cheap enough take it if expensive don't take it.
