I know this is officially a MF lens forum but I've found the users here to be much more knowledgeable about lenses than anywhere else so I thought I'd throw this out there
I mostly use MF nikon glass but I need a wide zoom for video - I've used the Nikon 20-35 2.8 and liked it in the past, but lately been reading good reviews about the Tokina 20-35 2.8 which is supposedly all metal.
I would only be using manual focus as this would be adapted (nikon mount so I get the aperture ring) to a 5D III. Does anybody know how this lens fares as far as coma and general distortion?
Is the focus ring a nikon clutch type and how precise ( I prefer long throw ) is it? Anybody know if it turns the "nikon" way or the opposite? _________________ Nikkor
