The guy's got a lot of talent for sure. When I use HDR I also go for this type of approach. I only use it to try and recreate a scene as my eye saw it, rather than going for that hyper-real style. I find it works very well for black and white shots in particular.

I only like a couple of pictures, the majority of them are way to spectacular for my taste. I much prefer more natural colors. Indeed this goes for HDR fans.

Are you being ironic? Most of the pictures scream HDR and show unrealistic colors. But I'll agree that there is much more obvious HDR out there.

Some of my recent HDR efforts.

HDR doesn't have to be over the top, I mostly use it to overcome bad light situations.
