Underrated ?

Certainly not in its time.
It was the nearly ubiquitous pro equipment of its day.
It seems every news photographer of the 1960's carried one, plus a Nikon F.
One or two of each was typical I think.

Still in the eighties there were reporters and portrait makers using it.

When I started it was still the classic leica, with m3 coming second.
