@langstrum, it was WO or possibly one click down, mine doesn't have much if any glow wide open.
The 1.4 version is reputed to have very good quality, $240 is a fairly decent price.
The Nikkor 50/1.4 & 50/2 are nice too, I've been looking for one in great shape.
My Topcor-S 50/2 is currently my favorite RF 50. |
It's still be excellent at f/1.4 or f/1.8, I'm still looking for a lens like this.
I found some RF Nikkor 50/1.4 and Topcor 50/2 here as well, but they rate them much higher than Canon ($500 - 800), so I don't even dare thinking about buying them

This copy is not perfect, and was about 425USD But I like it.
Calibration is not great with M9, but I need to practice and get some shots anyway
If I'm not mistaken, 50,000 copies of this lens were produced!

I recently made the same choice. Can't say I am disappointed.
However the money I saved didn't stay saved long. Instead it was invested (yea, like I said, invested
) in a Zeiss Ultron 1.8/50, which I still can't use because the adapter for my A7II is still coming from China.

In some situations the LTM is unbeatable, but overall FD L is a king.

Canon also made a somewhat rare 35/1.5 LTM.

Above you can see most of the frame is actually very good at f/8 but the edges really collapse, unlike the 1.4.
