probably is near 250mm, i was about 5-6m from the cat

i really like the versatility of this lens,covering area from 50mm to 250mm plus macro ability that goes to 1:1,4

I have a few Tokina AT-X lenses which I like a lot, especially the 28-135mm even though it is huge and heavy but worth it as the photos it produces are excellent at all focal lengths and settings. I found this 50-250mm to compliment it at a cheap price (photo courtesy of seller).
