Anyone knows whether this can be mounted to a Canon Eos via Exakta to EOS adapter available on the 'bay?

Thanks.

Yes, I think so, but don't expect too much from the adapter...
I got one and it mounts the lenses, but only the Pancolar has given me focus to infinity.
Besides this, the adapter is made of aluminium, so it's not what I would call robust...

This is mine:

Thanks Jesito. At the current price of the adapter, I think I will pass on any thoughts of getting any lens with Exakta mount, unless it's the fame Biotar 75/1.5 like luisalegria got recently.

It would have been really nice to see the results, though. Wink

You know, it would probably just as easy to make an Exakta->EOS adapter as an Exakta->Pentax K adapter, for a lot less than $60.

All you really need are -

- an M42-EOS adapter (real cheap)
- an Exakta rear cap with bayonet, alunimum would be best but plastic will do. (I've seen these for $5-6)

- drill/Dremel, screws, tap, glue, tape, etc.

@luisalegria

You are probably right, but my recent experience with mis-drilling 4 mounting holes for Rokkor 58/1.2 to EOS conversion tells me to go for ready made adapters. I only managed to get 3 holes aligned on the first try and worse the second time , only 2 Confused

But I am sure others might find this information worthwhile.

@LucisPictor

It would have been nice to see what that Tessar can do. I think FL around 85 is my preferred FL lately, hence why I wanted to try that 75mm Tessar (especially after losing 2 auctions for the Tessar 80mm)
