If there's too much effort involved, I'd be more than happy to help. I have quite a bit of admin experience with software like phpBB. The newer versions offer quite a bit of improvement.

That's the easy part. The hard part is keeping identical links to topics between versions of phpBB -- impossible? Attila has spent way too much effort and time getting MFlenses.com into very top of Google searches -- that would all be lost if links change during upgrade.

Unless the link generation algo has changed drastically, it shouldn't be an issue.
Ideally I would have suggested doing a "dry run" to see whether or not it could be accomplished without mangling the current site layout/links/functionality before actually breaking anything.
