Hello guys
I just get a Tamron 60B 300mm 2.8 Smile
But the screw to block the tripod mount is missing Sad

not only the black screw on the side of the lens, but also the bracket under the screw

Do you have any idea to solve that ?

The TM plate is approx 40mm by 38mm held on by 4 bolts. i didn't have the right size alum key to check the size and thread. It should be eminently possible to knock up a replacement.
The side screw on mine doesn't unscrew completely - internal circlip or something?? - so its odd that its not there. But normally these work by pressing on an internal sleeve to lock the TM in place. I would guess that all you need to do is find a bolt of the same thread and cut to size, add some sort of a knob to it.

Ah OK.
My impression is that the cap is threaded and pushes a plunger against the interior plate. My guess is that yours has been knocked off. My suggestion is to improvise a replacement. Are the small holes threaded? If so then they can be used to attach a small plate with a threaded hole and bolt that will do the same thing - press on the interior plate and lock the TM.

The only place I know of that might do a commercial repair is The Lens Doctor.
