A great lens, I love mine. I've taken optics out of a dead O1F X2 Converter so it's now a 40mm tube, how long is the tube you've used for these shots?
Lovely pictures as well, the orchid shots are very nice with the bright blue background.

It's the dedicated extension tube for the SP 2,5/90, 52B or 52BB, Tamron SP 18F

It's about the same size as the SP 2X tele-converter 01F, (can't mesure it right now, i'm at work..)
I'll mostly use the tube instead of the TC. Some say you'll have to work from a bit closer with the tube.
Some say the glass in the TC may degrade the results.... I wouldn't be able to see that....
One thing i think is true, you'll loose less light with the tube.

I'm only missing the damn hood....

For the orchid, the tube wasn't used on every shots... only on #3 and 4....

Wow, a photographer with green thumbs. Very impressive for the macro shots and especially for the flowers. Must be quite an effort to keep the tropical plants up there at this time of the year.

Great collection of images, but this one is the runaway winner for me.

What would be a reasonable price to pay for the Tamron 90/2.5?

Also, I know this is a 1:2 macro lens. Would it become a 1:1 lens with one of the old Nikon extension tubes (PN-11, PK-12, PK-13, etc.)?

Number #10 for me. Stunning. It's a great lens, but with my copy the blue spot (back reflection) keeps annoying me.
Do you get that with the extension tube?

Paid $75 for mine but the glass wasn't perfect.... took a chance and it fortunatly cleaned up fine....
I think $100 would be fair... there's a bunch of them on ebay now.... some on auction...
If i was to buy one today... i'd spend a little more on one with its original hood.... but that's just me...

As for the Nikon tubes, i have no experience with them, but i suspect they would work fine and bring it to
somewhere around 1:1.... dosen't matter much...

I've encountered the dreaded dot many times before, but never with the 18F tube...

I'm on the computer at work... funny how the last set seems brighter at home...
