Great shots! But I am missing your review ... what do you like and not like about this lens?
Also, can you please share a full size picture? One with a lot of foreground like #10 or #3. Thanks.

Beautiful pictures! Lens hood definitely helps with flare control. I have trouble using mine in full sun.

What is the body?

I wouldn't use it without a hood, especially if one wants to use filters
as it's got no filter threads. Filters (77mm) will screw in the hood...
In fact, i had sold my first copy when i couldn't find a hood.

I use a crop camera so i find it sharp enough across the plane...
Not shure for FF, but reviews say it's pretty sharp all across.

Somewhat soft wide open, i do like the colors and the bokeh.
Don't yet know about CA but reviews say it's well controlled.

It's no pankake but it is compact and not very heavy... (i don't mind heavy)

I don't own or use zooms alot, i do like the Tamron SP 35-80 (01A) very much....
probably more so than this one here.... will see..
But still a very good lens

I did find it hard to focus... but that might just be my eyesight !

Colors a bit yellowing , need adjust white balance or/and contrast color. Result is very nice anyway looks like a prime , quiet big thing from an early zoom lens.

Here are some about 1:1 center crop images from a Canon 550D, 18 megapixel sensor. Imported as RAW with sharpness setting of 45 on camera raw (my default setting). +10 on contrast and +10 on saturation (about what typical in camera JPG does). I think the resolution is superb on this lens.

Wow, that's a beautiful picture!

No, i don't mind.... Maybe i should just send you the RAW file !

I just shoot and upload straight Jpegs when i'm presenting a lens...
so those who don't know it or would like one or are just curious,
can get a general idea of the lens output...

HI TLV,it just goes to show, even at 73 you can still master something,A,if you are truly interested and B if you persevere.Remember the only time you fail is when you fail to get up.How are the Tulips looking in that famous park I can't remember the name of?. Wish I was there with my Cameras, every time I flew to Europe on business I went KLM so I could spend an hour or two in Amsterdam.Regards.

@kryss

i try to get images "in camera".... if i can't... well... tough luck....
To tell you the truth, i got my first PP copy last month ! .....i've never used it much...Embarassed

Time ...... it's always about time.... i'd rather be out shooting...

It's become a retirement plan... i'll get to my 6000 and some RAW files eventually !

But thanks for the offer, i'll keep that in mind !

I also pre-visualize my shots but I always strive to get a 3D effect on my finished work which is a lot easier digitally than spending literally hours in the darkroom dodging and burning, but I will agree with you re- shooting time, but at my age I am constricted to about 3months of the year here in the Northern Canadian Mountains.Regards
