When it is possible I try to get out on Sundays, doing something with the family.

Today we went to Lejre "Lejre Experimental Center is an open-air park in the most beautiful Danish nature, where you can stroll around between reconstructions of ancient living environments, like the Iron Age village, the Stone Age camp, the Viking market, the 19th century-farm cottages, and much more.#

Half of the pitures are from the Super-Takumar 1.4/50mm and the other half from Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar 16-80mm. I sorry but the Zeiss is AF Embarassed

hi, n.2 and n.3 are my favorites. I think n.3 is really spectacular, it looks like a frame from a movie. It really puts you into the dimension of the time and place.

Of the flickr images, my preferred are the portrait where you have the child on the rock and the woman sitting. I really love the idea of the different positions. It communicates visually the different generations. This is the kind of compositions that I love, and when possible, that I also make.
I also like the pictures of the boat, for the perspective.

I was wondering about the Vario-Sonnar, I never saw one with that focal range, is it perhaps a Contax N lens?
In that case, did you have it modified to Canon mount in order to have the autofocus?

Than you guys.

No the Zeiss is almost bran new. Made by Zeiss to Sony. The most expensive lens I own. But as a walk around it is just perfect, and I must admit it is mounted on my Sony 90% of the time.

These shots are fantastic!

Several of them could be taken from a movie.
No.1 a childrens's fantasy story like "The Neverending Story"
No.2 some kind of Viking adventure
No.3 as well.
And No.4 from "You've got mail - Part 2", you know, some kind of romantic comedy.

Very nice!

And what a great lens! If I had a Sony Alpha or A Minolta D7D, I most probably would have the Zeiss 16-80. You hardly need another lens. Other lenses are just for playing and hobby, but not really necessary (maybe just for available light).
I mean, look, it gives you a range from 24 to 120mm (effectively) in excellent quality. Only in very few cases I need something else.

I have found a test of the 16-80 !

http://www.nadir.it/ob-fot/sony_zeiss_16-80/zeiss16-80.htm

Italian language, so help yourself with the Google Translate.

The reviewer calls it a "Sir Lens" and "spectacular", and defines it "a must" for the Sony Alpha owner.3
