For some strange reason, you will be able to make a raw egg stands this couple of days. The official explanation is gravity is strongest this time of the year. I didn't believe it until I tried it. Give it a try and I am sure you can come up with more interesting photos.

Agreed. Unfortunately, that was the minimum focusing distance for the Helios 44. Maybe I could crop a bit or use an extension tube.

It seems like it is easier to make the egg stands on a rougher surface compared to a smooth one. I try on smoother floor without success. I tried at my friend's place and could even make the egg stands on the table. I was not able to make the eggs stand on the table in my place though. It will be much easier for me to take photos if I could. Might give it another try tonight. Perhaps you want to give it another try on a rougher surface? _________________

Ha,ha,ha. Definitely no nuclear plant nearby. Don't even have nuclear plant in my country. The nearest radio active substance nearby is my SMC Takumar 50/1.4.

Don't think so. There is no interference on my mobile phone.
The best explanation I see so far,

Great. You managed to try it.
Love your curious creatures together with the standing egg. You are definitely more creative compared to me. Let me see if I can add more interesting stuff in my next egg photo. _________________

The eggs are on one of the smoothest surfaces I could find in the house, being Granite from the kitchen. |

Is the floor rough or smooth? I am successful on rough surface (floor) but not on smooth floor. _________________

Yes, it does work on the carpet, but I guess it works there on any day
(pictures soon, once I get this roll of BW400CN developed)
It does not work on the smooth table. _________________ Fujifilm X-Pro2 / Fujifilm X-T1 / some Sonnar & Takumar lenses |
