An eBay purchase that has just arrived. Got it for £15. Seems in good nick apart from a bit of rubbing where perhaps a slip-on hood or filters were ftted.
Focus is a bit stiff but it's definitely nicer to work with that my other Paxette lens, the Staeble Telexon 85mm f3.5.

Seems to be a nice sharp lens... and it's also nice seeing lenses from manufacturers I've not heard of before too! _________________ Hugh

I'd never heard of Braun, Paxette or Staeble until a month or so ago. I won the Staeble Telexon on eBay without really knowing what it was and then had to find the adapter, which I found on eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Braun-Paxette-Extension-Ring-to-fit-onto-L39-or-LTM-mount-Adapters/181581020180?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131017132637%26meid%3D3dfa3f9b67324fa5a0f76349f817cb9c%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D181581020180
Of course, once you've got an adapter it's hard to stop yourself finding more lenses to fit to it! Hence the Lineogon, which seems to be a much better lens.
The Staeble Lineogon -L-, the same lens but for for Leica screw mount and register, seems to start at about £750 on eBay, so the Paxette version is a real bargain at £15 and £20 or so for the adapter. |

I was going to have an adapter made but this is the easy option and places the lens the right way round. A pity the RF flange works in the opposite direction...

Lovely photo! I saw some of your shots when I was researching the lens and it was partly these that persuaded me to get it. I'm very pleased with it and can see that it's a lens that I'm likely to use a lot.
I've recently also got an Olympus 38mm f1.8 for Pen F and I'm finding that this 35mm-ish (or 70mm-ish on M4/3) focal length feels very comfortable.
Looking at your blog, you seem to be able to get the best out of any lens!

Looks nice on the Olympus! The Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 50mm f/2.8 is quite nice too, better than the Steinheil Cassarit and the Staeble-Werk Braun Katagon.
