Hi,

I recently received this big gun from KMZ. It's a TV lens that was certainly used on KT-27 TV camera (it has the mount for it). The lens is not that heavy ("only" 3kg), but the size is impressive. The Tair-3 looks really small next to it...

The Tair-3 is even far to reach the diaph barrel

Since it's a 500/5, I decided to do the effort to adapt it (was easy) and take it (was hard) for some test shots. It has Tair design, so result is not bad at all. The interesting thing is that despite its size, it does not cover 24x36! It make black corners on A7.

"... received this big gun from KMZ"

You mean you have ordered it directly from the famous KMZ in Krasnogorsky?

Wow. Nice lens, Pierre.
Testing this huge and long gun must have been quite difficult.
No issues with the police ? Wink

Thanks Olivier,

No, I quickly tested it in garden of the castle (Fontainebleau), so no Police their. Also despite the lens is very big, I think it is not as frightening as the photosniper. That attract more curiosity than scare Smile .
