Quite a mild Winter in Calgary this year but I am not as enthused as I used to be as a younger mortal.

Well, we have about normal I would say for this periode of the year on the other side of the Atlantic. Perhaps around 40cm in town and a little more in the mountains. This was taken on saturday with a silver Topcor 5cm f/2 LTM:

Thank you, if you have a nice view and a good artist in front of you every pic can look good. I only took the photo Wink
It was a pretty huge crop from landscape to portrait too if you compare to the picture belove with the same lens:

"Snow anyone?" No thank you.
Now I am in California, but when I visit NY I will get plenty.
Nice shots.

Snow is getting rarer and rarer each consecutive year in my region, probably since the turn of the century. This was from the first snowfall of 2016.

Obviously this was our winter this year: 23. Jan. 2016. One day later the snow was gone due to too high temperatures....

However, there is enough snow in the mountains...

I'm with you kryss, I don't find winter anywhere near as much fun as when I was a youngster and playing in the snow, playing hockey till my feet were frozen...
Now, as a photographer, it just depresses me, it's the season without color(not counting Christmas lights), landscapes are so bland, only the few blizzard and frosty moments are interesting enough to shoot.
I can still find things to shoot, but you have to work harder.

Almost no snow here this year, even in the mountains. Sad

It did get quite cold for a few days though so at least there was some ice.
