Thanks poilu,

it is a beautiful spot, i was also lucky as we had decent rain for the first time in many years just before i took the shots.

The high res version on dpreview looks much better, i usually resize my images in LR, they end up looking soft. It may be because i don't apply any sharpening, as the foveon sensor doesn't require it, maybe the resize does?

If anyone has any helpful ideas i'm all ears.

I think you can apply sharpening when exporting in LR
on my screen your pic is look sharp enough
of course the original size is even more impressive

This is really a great images. Like for a poster.

To improve it I would chance the frame or at least leave the white one. The white frame destroys the green area on the right side which I would work out a little bit more.

Wink

Stunning shot, very nice,

In Lightroom use output sharpening for screen in the export dialogue for crisp smaller sized images. This wasn't available in 1.4 but is in 3 beta 2. I skipped v.2 I'm afraid.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

I will give screen sharpening a try, i have LR2.4

The borders and frame are just applied for www shots, i use mogrify in LR, it is all applied when the image is being exported. It is a simple preset to output the image without borders and text.
