Hi Folks,

I have a Sigma screw driver based Nikon AF-D zoom lens which is stiff and does not AF properly. Sometimes it gets stuck. The lens barrel feels squeaky and dry.

I wonder if anyone knows whether this can be fixed easily? Confused Should it be sent back to Sigma UK. May be not economical to fix?

Seems to be a common problem with Sigma zooms:

If you have a Sigma 70-300mm, then it is quite common, particularly on the lenses with the inbuilt motors.

It's a difficult fix, as you have to take much of the lens apart.
