Possible unsharp, contrast less. Not many Sigma manual lens reach at least average quality one of the worst Japanese maker.

the lens is a total disapoinment I'm glad I had the chance to test it first Smile

here is a sample at f5.6, ISO800

this is with the MD/Nikon (with the lens) adapter so the IQ is really bad... I guess it is a tad better on Minolta/Sony/Canon/Pentax/Olympus DSLRs... I was hoping the softness would be gone at f5.6... no luck, I did a couple of shots at f8 it was the same softness present... and the photo is very dark compared to Vivitar sample

I was standing in the same position...
here is my Vivitar 19/3.8 at f5.6, ISO800

so this concludes this "test"... stay away from this lens Smile

This is the ~ 1983 version (These version have the small cobbles rubber + the aperture window) but optically same as the previous versions

Quality ok on center - Not good on border

Only a few selected manual sigma lenses are good unfortunately.

Than you fro sharing your result!

I know next ones what are perform great:

135mm f1.8
400mm f4.5 (APO) labelled with MC is crap!
100mm f2.8 micro-macro only as normal lens in macro mode like a soft lens!

The 24mm F2.8 Mini Wide is one of the better performing Sigma MF lenses Likely their best MF lens. I don't like any of the Sigma MF zoom lenses though...Quality overall did improve with AF lenses though, depending on which lens.
