Gary, I like these last two a whole lot more than your first three, are they the same film? The earlier ones have a kind of cluttered look - I had the same effect recently with HP5+. I don't know what causes it and it's not easy to explain what I mean. Rolling Eyes

Yashica A, Acros 100, D76 1:1, tripod, side of a cabin at Black Creek.

Peter- the first three are from a Yashica LM with Arista EDU 100 in D76 1+1.
The last two are from Bronica SQA with Fuji Acros 100 also with D76 1+1.

Oh, we get by down here. These are just little self-built, self-maintained getaways for the most part. I will say I am glad one of my sons is an electrician ... Very Happy

OK Curveball. Paul has seen some of these maybe others have as well.
I won't have anything new for a while as I left the squaremachines back in Colorado.

This one terrifies my mother

That photo SHOULD terrify your mother, Andy.
The shot of the model is lovely, but the chicken-plucking Holga shot is primo.

Really like 3,6, and 7, Andy!

Hot stuff, Andy - that holga rules in the right circumstance. You have the right circumstance Laughing

Paul, that wiring, is it a river rat thing because I saw some around the Susquehanna...

Interesting stuff Jussi. That Kodak has a very time stamped quality to the images it produces.
The TTV idea is a fun one. I know some scoff but who cares about them Wink

These are square and remind me of the TTV shots and Holga combined. Very Happy

Wow, it was a lot of fun looking at all the additional great squares, folks. Keep 'em coming! Well, as promised, here are some of mine. B&Ws first.

All of these B&W images were taken with a Yashica Mat 124G during the 1980s. Film was Tri-X, and developer was D-76. Some very mild contrast and sharpening enhancements were done to all of them.

The rat shot is a good one ...

Some color stuff. All images scanned with an Epson 4990 scanner. Some light contrast, sharpness and color correction was done as needed.

These first three images were taken with a Yashica Mat 124G over 20 years ago.

Queen Mary (now a Hilton Hotel), Long Beach, CA. Slide film, ISO 100, don't recall if it was Kodak or Fuji.

My friend Ted, playing around with my Canon F-1 and Sigma 600mm. Slide film, ISO 100, pretty sure this was Fujichrome 100.

My wife's hand on the steering wheel of our old Honda. Dunno why exactly, but I've always liked this image. Kodak print film, don't recall the specific emulsion anymore.

These next three images were taken with a Zeiss Super Ikonta BX. Slide filme, ISO 100, don't recall if it was Kodak or Fuji offhand.

Destroyer Escort USS Hepburn moored at the US Navy shipyard, San Pedro California.

Michael, those WWII fighter planes bring back nice memories of building kits in the 60s, and oh yea, watching Battle of Britain Wink

All are very nice, Michael.

This one is because its 25 deg. f in western Oregon today. Should be about 45 f.

I haven't got along with the Yashica Mat 124G as much as I'd hoped - and probably overpaid as I bought it CLA'd from Mark Hama himself.

I just spent 10 minutes in my makeshift darkroom trying to put the BACKING on a reel. Hmmmm. Too thin?
Then I tried the other stuff, which I had thought was the backing and let drop to the floor. Had it on the reel in a couple of minutes.
I do not know if I am cut out for 120 because of the decreased feeling in my hands/fingertips. I do not know ... Mad

PostPosted: Sun Nov 28, 2010 12:43 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

While I haven't done quite that - I've dropped wet film on the floor a few times already. I get verbally quite inventive at those times Laughing

When getting it onto the reel, I don't first take it off the spindle, I just unroll the spindle as I go along. Saves me from droppage and other confusion. Just start to unroll till you get to the film, and you can tell film from paper because there's more paper unrolled Wink
