Another set knocked out of the park, Rawhead. I'm guessing either the Hassy 503CW or the Rolleiflex SL66.
That shot of Half Dome looks as if it were done by Saint Ansel himself.
@fish4570, I've used Portra 160nc so far only with my Bronica ETR-Si. I am very impressed by Porta 160. Fine grain and great color saturation. I think you'll like it. _________________ Michael

Thanks, guys. The middle two were SWC/M, the first and last were 2000FCW with the CFE 80/2.8, both Hassies. The trip was a "side trip" from a conference I attended in Sacramento, so I wanted to travel "light", meaning I wanted to take something that could share film backs I took the 2000FCW instead of my 503CW because I was looking to do some shallow DoF shots with the 80/2.8 wide open, and the 1/2000s shutter helps a lot there.
The obvious Adams inspired shot was a lucky one because the two days my friend and I were there, there was hardly any clouds; which was great for hiking, but left me a little wanting in terms of photography.
This shot was literally the second to last shot I took at the park, as we were quickly trying to get back down to the valley floor from a long (7 hour) hike before it got dark. I believe it was past 6PM at this point, and the sun was quickly setting. Indeed, 5 minutes after this shot, the light wasn't hitting Half Dome any more. And it was only at that point that we got clouds like this
The very last shot I took was this one. Not entirely satisfactory, but kind of nice:

I actually like this one too. The deep color gives it a reflective mood. _________________ Michael

finally, a few from me. Yashica A, Yashinor 3.5, slightly expired portra nc, lab processing and scanning to disk, fe2 used as a meter. had to add a bit of saturation and tune down brightness a tad; the fe2 seemd to be reading a little hot, or it could have been my interpretation. all shots on tripod, finger shutter release. anyhow, here they are, some repeated because i can't decide which shot is best:

Well, I'll paste up a couple boxies from my Brownie Hawkeye Flash:
Very expired Portra 160VC that I had processed locally. Big mistake as
there were all kinds of artifacts and streaking and had to convert to BW. |

I get my best results scanning when I set the scanner (Canon 9950F) to 16 bit grayscale and none of the scanner adjustments. I do any adjustment in PS.
