The Diacord/Ricohflex has one of the sharpest Tessars for 6x6. Yer gonna
love that Autocord, too.

Rense, do you develop those films yourself? Or do you send them to a lab?

Very nice pictures, btw!

Thanks! No, just a regular lab..... I am thinking of developing myself - bought a tank last week - but haven't done it before, so......

Rense - those Bronica images are simply gorgeous. It looks like the
Bronica lens has its own "look" that I have already fallen in love with.

Beautiful work.

I'am afraid you are mistaken Laurence! Shocked Not about the quality of the pictures, but as far as I know Rense doesn't have a Bronica, but a Yashica-D! So it seems like it's that own look of the Yashicor-lens you've fallen in love with! Rolling Eyes Laughing Wink

Same boat here ... I stick to bw400cn and XP2 now, having it developed by the HEMA ... but it would be nice to be able to do the developing myself.

Omar is right. But it's all my fault.... I posted them with "Yashica-D" in the subject, but somehow it didn't show up. Sorry Laurence......

Thank you for the compliments though....Smile

I think they do (afaik it's still on their envelopes too), but I was talking about 135 film.

They don't do 120 film in house, but they send it to the Fuji lab.

Shocked Laughing Haha! What a doof I am! But...it doesn't matter in the long
run I guess - those images are SO sharp and DO have a look that seems
to be uniquely...hard to describe...maybe "deep"? No WONDER I like the
rendition of my own Yashica Mat! Very Happy Although the Mat has the Yashinon,
it seems the Yashicor holds up superbly! And I have heard before that the
Yashicor is a "lesser" lens than the Yashinon. Wow, can't argue with
results, and can't believe everything I hear on the Internet....haha!

Did I say Bronica? I don't remember saying that.... Cool

It's very easy to develop your own B&W. You should go for it.

The Yashicor is a triplet. A bit wild in oof wide open with poor borders compared to the Yashinon (tessar).
It's a personality trait that can be exploited for good if one wants to.
The lens does really well stopped down a bit like most triplets.
By f5.6 I bet it's hard to tell Yashicor from the tessar scheme Yashinon.
Remember all those trioplan threads a couple years ago?
Crazy bokeh wide open..... Damn near APO and sharp stopped down.

I believe you ... would be easier though if there was someone locally who could guide me through the first steps, winding the film etc.

Coincidentally, I have a web page up right now, showing the Yashicor
and the Yashinon differences. Shocked Yeah, I DO remember those trioplan
threads. Good points, and it looks like the yashicor follows suit when
stopped down a little. A really GOOD reminder that, if you are a mostly
landscape photographer who stops down anyway...it may not make much
difference between a "lesser" 3-element lens, as opposed to a tessar-
type lens. Confused
