Following on from my earlier thread

http://forum.mflenses.com/28mm-lens-sizes-why-so-big-t8350.html

I'm still wondering about the size of these but in the meantime here are some example shots fom a day mired in domesticity. Crying or Very sad
All wide openand no hood.

This is the Mir 10a

The Konica Hexanon 28/3.5

And the Fujinon

And some flowers (sorry!) from the Mir. Rough and ready from picasa, (they'd benefit from proper raw developement etc).

I am guessing, no hood for the Mir in the first shot.

I like the composition of the first flower shot. What type of flower is that, I do not remember ever seeing one.

Very good for all.

But the hexanon is the non MC or the MC version?

The best seem to be the fujinon, isn't it?

The flower is a type of Allium although I don't know which.

this is an improved version:

I'm not sure about the fujinon (It's the EBC version so, yes, MC) - I quite like the Konica. The the close focus of the mir is great. Smile

Nice close-up. It's Allium albopilosum syn. Allium christophii.

Xpres

I asked you about the KONICA (hexanon) lens, if i is MC or non MC, because the pic seemed to be excelnt (with the normal sharp and contrast for the hexanon lenses, Excelents) and as I had the two version and couldn't see what of both was yours lens, perhaps you can tell me which is the yours.

Regards, and yes, you're right, the hexanon (no matter MC or not MC) is better than the fujinon.

Sorry, my mistake. Embarassed

It's a Hexanon AR but has no reference to MC on it so I'd guess it's not MC.

It's simple:

Loock at the reflexions of the lens, if they are of differents colours (red, yellow, blue, etc) it's MC, and if the reflexion is pale yellow-brown, it's not MC.

My experience with both :

MC lens : contrastier, small and light lens.

Not MC : Sharper, heavy with biggest front element.

But both are in the first league, for me of course.

Regards and show us more pics with the three 28 mm.
