These two guys were playing shogi (Japanese Chess) in a club near Tentsutenkaku tower in downtown Osaka. D3000 with 35/1.8, mono conversion in cs2.

oh, these are wonderful Yebisu!

taken through the window? I believe I know the place, in this very delightful area

( excuse the bad focusing, this was one of my very first photos taken with a dSLR and manual lens, a Pentax M f2/50 )

this one was taken very nearby, at the homeless hangout outside Tennoji station
