Okay, this one's also with a non-slr digicam - it took me a while to work out how you get differential focus but I did get there in the end. Another crop.



I was taken by the variety of textures here, from polished brass through to rough concrete, as well as the reflection across the street.



Pity the viewfinder isn't a bit more accurate ...

Thank you for the kind word - it's a Canon 570is. It's basically a sound little snap camera, except for the cxxxxy viewfinder. Set at 35mm it gives roughly the view for 50mm at longer distances - I've settled for composing pro-rata and then trimming afterwards. How people manage with only an LCD screen I'll never know.
