I am about to buy a Schneider-Kreuznach Edix-Tele-Xenar 135mm and a Tokina Wide 1:3,5f.

Any information worth knowing about these lenses before I buy them? Acceptable price and such? Whats up with the absence of focal length on the Tokina (Yes the lense doesnt say what focal it is)?

The Schneider is in the sonnar side (4 elements: 3 in the front and 1 in rear). In the copy that I had years ago, the best F was 5,6 and 8 (not surprise,no?). Very sharp and contrast. I saw this in Ebay and wasn't cheap. It's a lens of the middle to the end of the 60's. (no MC). The tokina, i don't know, sorry. Good luck.

You can't go wrong with any lens from this maker Smile 135mm is an easy focal lenght almost any lens is good or better. Wide angle lenses are a different story , most of the cheap lens are crap or low quality. I recommend to buy well known wide angle lenses to avoid disappointments.

If it is the Tok 17/3.5 you have a very decent lens - not stellar but worth keeping. I have a couple of Shcneiders, and the Curtagon 35 I have is one of my favourite lenses
