From personal experience, for Schneider (and Schacht) adding the lens mount identifier into the lens's nameplate was quite common practice at that time, for instance retina, praktica, rollei sl etc.. This would designate the camera mounts the lenses were made for.


I have a 1967 Xenon in M42 which is not labelled for Praktica. Although I believe they were still labeling them for Edixa at the time.
