Hi. got a Rollei 50mm F1,8 lens, the old one. Its not as good made as an old Takumar 50 mm lens. But maybe it´s the lens i have been looking for, if nothing better comes up. If anyone have any tips on a better lens (not to expensive!) let me know. Here are some examples from my recent testing. Taken with a sony A7RII. Im happy with the results and now i am going out for more testing. It´s a wonderful lens wide open, better than others. Maybe i´ll sell some of other lenses if this one does it. Maybe i have got the MLS (multiple lens syndrome) then i keep all my lenses

It's one of the better "old" 50's out there in my opinion. The crisp sharpness and almost gaussian background blur is awesome.

I fully agree.
Even better than its f1.4 sibling from all reports.
Makes a fabulous portrait lens on APSc as well

Try a Canon FD S.S.C. 50/1.4 - it might be even cheaper than a Takumar 50/1.4. It feels "modern" as the HFT Rollei does but features much better build quality.

Canon fd ssc 50/1,4 is a great lens. At F/4 and 5,6 the centers and the corners are very good.

In the old way, only the mamiya sx 55/1,8 has better center from F/4 to F/8.
