This one is a pleasant surprise...........simple triplet (though it will not do bubbles), no multicoating and preset aperture.

Sharp enough for me and cheap as chips...about 12UKP

At f11 (but not wider open!) this little beast has a better overall performance and less CAs than all other 135mm Rokkors, including the MD 2.8/135mm [4/4].

These were all taken at f8, which I usually regard as an optimum setting for most lenses, but I will go through the stops today to see if I can coach any interesting results.

Unfortunately most of my lens collection was stolen some months ago, including another triplet the Feinmess Bonotar which had a very similar rendering i.e. sharp and very little CA.

I am slowly collecting again and have two other Rokkors in approximately the same range (85mm Varisoft and 100mm macro) to compare it with.

Cannot agree more, quite an interesting lens, I have three of them, different ages. Here samples:
